Paradise Beach

OVERVIEW

Paradise beach is located in the southwest of the island between the beaches Platys Gialos and Super Paradise. It is about 6 km from Chora. The real name of the beach is Kalamopodi but is known to most people as Paradise. Discovered by the "Hippies", it operates as an organized beach since 1969 and since then its reputation went beyond the borders of Greece gaining the title of one of the most famous beaches worldwide.

 

It is famous for its parties and daily happenings that are throughout the day. It is the most famous beach on the island along with Super Paradise beach and is filled with colorful and vibrant life. Thousands of visitors from around the world visit Paradise every year and enjoy the hectic dancing to the music of the beach bars on the sand.

 

It is well organized with beach bars, restaurants, cafe, umbrellas, parasols and mini markets. Behind the beach there is a camping and apartments for rent. It features many water sports and a dive center.

 

There is a regular bus connection to the city of Mykonos and is connected by boat with Platys Gialos.
