Kapari Beach

OVERVIEW

Kapari beach is located west of the island, near the beach of Agios Ioannis. It is a small size beach, has clean sand, crystal waters and on both edges is framed by rocks.

Kapari beach is one of the most beautiful beaches of Mykonos, a hidden paradise. It's quiet, is not organized and features wonderful sunsets and a magnificent view overlooking Delos. It is approximately 5 km from Mykonos town. The beach is west facing so when western winds do not blow, swimming is a pleasure.

Access is relatively difficult because from the chapel of Agios Ioannis (St. John) follows a coastal narrow dirt road about 150 meters which is essentially engraved on the rocks. At the end of the road, there is a small area where you can park and then get through the rocks to the beach. The beach is accessible by car, bike or on foot, but if you go by car, be careful at the end of the road because the inversion to get back is made with difficulty because space is limited. In any case it is worth a visit, but do not forget to be equipped at least with water because the beach is not organized.

To reach Kapari beach you will have to follow the road to Ornos and then to Agios Ioannis. If there is no means of transport, there are buses connecting the Agios Ioannis with the Mykonos town.
