Kalafatis Beach

OVERVIEW

Kalafatis beach is located in the southeast of the island, between the beaches of Kalo Livadi and Lia, approximately 11 km from Chora. The beach lies in front of the homonymous settlement and has been awarded many times with the Blue Flag. It is a beach for everyone without the crowds of the cosmic beaches of Mykonos.

The location features trees that exist throughout most of the length of the beach and excellent facilities for water sports. The beach is a paradise for wind surfing as for many summer days strong winds blow. The beach is informally divided into two sections, one for lovers of water sports and one for the other guests.

The beach has white sand and aquamarine waters. It is organized with parasols, beach bars and restaurants. For those who like small trips, there are boats that take you to the islet Drakonisi that is full of caves and it is said that the monk seal lives there.

It is easily accessible and connected with bus service to Mykonos town and there is ample parking.
